We know. It’s crazy to think people should understand the science behind what they are talking about before spreading rumors.
The truth may surprise you, but you must listen to it. Don’t listen to us – listen to the facts. That’s what we are here to show you.
First, we will go through what exactly cholesterol is: the “types” and roles they play. Then we go into a discussion of why people think it’s bad – followed up with evidence for why it’s not bad.
Of course, we have to talk about the giant elephant in the room… If cholesterol isn’t bad, why is it associated with heart disease?
That’s a great question we hope to answer in a few pages of scientific content. For now, let’s get some basic biology flowing. Hopefully this brings you back to the good ol’ days of freshman bio. Cholesterol is vital for life to exist. Without it, we would be dead. How about that as a way to start off the conversation.
We want to set you off on the right foot because not enough people do. You will go into this discussion thinking cholesterol is either not important or bad for you. But you must understand it is vital to your existence.
